An erstwhile royal hunting preserve of the Maharaja of Kota, it is a thickly forested sanctuary lying along the southeastern border of Kota. This hilly sanctuary with thick forests is worth a visit.

The animals here include Wolf, Sloth Bear, Chinkara and Leopard. This sanctuary is stretched in the area of 250 sq Kms, almost 50 Kms from Kota.

The 250 Sq.Km. Darrah wildlife sanctuary is located about 50 Km. from Kota. Here there are spotted deers, Wild boars, Bears ,Sambhars , Leopards , Panthers and Antelopes.The sanctuary is sometimes closed during the monsoon (usually from early july to mid -september ).

Between February and May.
How To Get There
Air : Nearest Airport Udaipur . Several flights from Delhi , Mumbai and other parts of India.

Rail : Kota on the Delhi Mumbai rail route. Several trains a day from Delhi, Mumbai, Agra, Jaipur.

Road : Around 50 kmf from kota
